Ripen Studio ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle personal information in connection with the Ripen Studio website at ripenstudio.online ("Site") and our apps and services ("Services").

We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. What Information We Collect

Site visitors: We do not require you to provide any personal information simply to browse this Site. If you contact us by email, we will collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.

App users (DateCue and future apps): When you install one of our apps through Shopify or another ecommerce platform, we collect information necessary to provide that service. For DateCue, this includes:

• Your Shopify store domain and shop name
• Product data, metafields, and tags from your store (accessed via Shopify API)
• Billing and subscription status (handled by Shopify's billing system)
• Email address used for workflow notification actions (if you configure them)
• App usage data such as workflow configurations and execution logs

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve our Services
• Process and execute your configured automations and workflows
• Send transactional emails (such as workflow notifications or usage limit alerts) where you have configured these
• Respond to support and general enquiries
• Monitor for errors and improve reliability
• Meet our legal and compliance obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted third-party providers to operate our Services:

• Shopify — App platform and billing. Your use of Shopify is governed by Shopify's own privacy policy.
• Railway — Cloud hosting and database infrastructure for our apps.
• Resend — Transactional email delivery for workflow notification emails.
• Sentry — Error monitoring to help us identify and fix bugs.
• BetterStack — Uptime monitoring and log management.

These providers process data only as needed to deliver their respective services and are contractually bound to protect your information.

4. Data Storage and Security

App data is stored on servers hosted by Railway. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Sensitive values (such as API credentials) are encrypted at rest.

While we take security seriously, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you have an active subscription to our Services. Execution logs are retained according to your plan (7 days on Starter, longer on higher plans). If you uninstall an app, we will delete your store's data within 30 days unless we are required by law to retain it longer.

6. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal obligations)
• Make a complaint if you believe we have mishandled your information

7. Cookies and Analytics

This Site does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics tools. We do not build advertising profiles or track visitors across other websites.

Our apps may use session cookies required for authentication within the Shopify Admin interface. These are necessary for the app to function and cannot be disabled while using the app.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Site and Services are not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
